We assist in obtaining necessary permits, licenses and registrations under the labor laws to ensure compliance with the laws of India. Our resources liaise and work closely with the relevant departments to provide the services in an efficient manner. We conduct periodic audits and advise on any compliance gaps.

We are regularly consulted by several companies to ensure proper documentation of all employment related matters, such as offer and appointment letters, employment agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, IP assignment, non-compete, non-solicit, non-poach agreements, termination, release and relieving, waiver letters.

We also regularly advice on issues relating to and structuring executive compensation keeping in view the welfare laws and our client’s requirements. Several companies engage the firm to prepare their company / workplace policies in compliance with applicable laws such as the Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 as well as conducting investigations into sexual harassment complaints as part of their Internal Complaints Committee or complaints of abuse of position by employees during the course of employment. We regularly advice on issues relating to Employee Stock Option plans and draft Employee Stock Option Plans and the related documentation.

We handle suits arising from employment matters, employment contracts, we issue and respond to legal notices arising out of employee misconduct, breach of agreements by employees, illegal acts by employees by email, social media posts, advise on negotiations with employees in cases of contentious termination to ensure smooth exit to avoid or minimizing litigation in courts and if required, instituting legal proceedings before the appropriate fora.
