Bankruptcy and Insolvency

The firm regularly advises companies and individuals on a wide range of bankruptcy and insolvency related matters. Partners at the firm have been Counsel for Official Liquidator for several years and handled a wide array of cases before High Court of Andhra Pradesh in winding up proceedings. The firm regularly advices on issues relating to winding up proceedings, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings both in litigation and non-litigation matters.

The firm regularly advises companies, banks and promoters in matters before Debt Recovery Tribunal, matters before the Company Law Tribunal and High Court, among others. One of the Partners at the firm was a member on the Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, which drafted the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, and was enacted as the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

Resources at the firm have wide experience and regularly advise several banks, statutory authorities and institutions. The firm is regularly engaged in litigation and advisory services to ensure effective protection during acquisition of properties of companies going through bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings and also by banks and financial institutions to represent their claims and seek protections of their secured assets, among others.
